This is me. Pretty normal-looking, yes? Ah, but those who know me know better than that...lol. I've been a Casting Pearls fan ever since I saw them open for Newsboys in Ocean Grove, NJ on July 18, 2003. Not particularly remarkable except that I had to travel halfway across the country in order to see a band whose home base is right next door to my home state. Very embarrassing...but not fatal. :)
This is my friend, Cariann, with Scott and Bryan. I traveled halfway across the country last October to see her and CP (and newsboys too, but they were secondary...lol) at Joyfest in Santa Clara, CA. As a matter of fact, she took all the lovely pictures you see here on this page. :) Cariann is great and lets me convince her to hop on a plane or do a roadtrip every once in a while. We have great and supportive hubbies. :)
How could you not like a band whose members are such snazzy dressers? (hoodies provided by Curtis-Huntley Plumbing...lol)
Seriously, though...Bryan, Case, and Scott (and David too, when he's helping out CP) are not only talented musicians, but they are true gentlemen. It has been a pleasure to get to know them and to support them these past two years...and I hope if you are reading this that you'll check them out at www.castingpearls.com and give their music a listen.
8/18/05---I was hoping this day would come. CP came to my old digs at Q99.5 KZZQ in Des Moines to chat with the program director. It was interesting listening to them all "talk shop." This picture was taken by Scott in front of the Q Studios; we're gathered around the station's H3 Hummer that was getting ready to head off to a Sanctus Real concert that night. Case started it up and everything; it runs real nice but drives like a tank (er, so I've heard. We behaved ourselves and didn't take it out for a spin). It definitely gets noticed around town!
