Ok, I got it
Riverbend Rally Iowa Falls, IA
July 1, 2006
The threat of severe rainstorms didn't stop hundreds of people of all ages from coming to Estes Park in Iowa Falls to watch Casting Pearls and local bands Driftwood and Rescued.   CP's concert was moved up from 8pm to 6:30pm based on the weather reports.   There was one brief shower between Rescued and CP that lasted 20 minutes, but after that the rain stopped and CP was able to do a full set.   Driftwood put on a repeat performance after CP for those who had missed them earlier.
Upon arrival, CP checks out the setup.   The Bill Riley Bandshell, by the way, is on the National Register of Historic Places.
There's amphitheatre seating around the bandshell.   This is the view those on stage would have.
On the way to get coffee (The Book Cellar & Coffee Attic in Iowa Falls is EXCELLENT.), there was a memorial which made the name of the park more clear.
Time for CP to go set up their gear.   The guy in the ponytail is Kyle, a very nice and very PATIENT sound guy! (CP had a few technical issues.)
A closer shot of the statue at the back of the amphitheatre.   The writing on the back says "Created through the beneficence of Eugene S. Ellsworth."   The community college in Iowa Falls is named after him.
Disguised as mild-mannered roadies, CP sets up their equipment.
Fast-forward a few hours and a few sprinkles later (and Case getting whapped in the face with CP's merch display when it almost blew down...owie.   No permanent injury though!), The River's Edge's praise band Driftwood took the stage just after 5:30pm.
Getting ready for sound check.
Case swiped my camera and took a picture.   Know how to make "instant rock star"?   Take a handful of hair gel, massage through hair, then pull hair into upright position and let dry.
Next up, Rescued.   They did a mean version of "Spirit in the Sky."   Rockin' band.
Neither rain nor rally nor CP concert would deter these determined basketball players.   Yep, they played through CP's set too.   Didn't help that Bryan kept encouraging them to "shoot the 3." lol.
"Here comes the rain again..." (yea, Eurythmics.)   This was the start of the 20 minute rain shower mentioned above.
Pastor Carlton from The River's Edge introduces CP.   Great guy!
The pictures get brighter as the rain let up.
I really liked the design on Case's t-shirt (forgot to tell him that; my bad).   The word around the collar of the shirt is "affliction."
Bryan getting his rock face on. :)
Set list?   I don't remember the order.   CP did, however, start out with "Alright."   Seemed fitting, considering the weather.
Scott watching the basketball game.   Seriously. lol.
Bryan didn't wear his tie at this concert.   Major demerits for you, sir! (please visit www.castingpearls.com/boards for more information on what in tarnation that means...lol)
CP and one of the 3 ladies brave enough to stand up front with me.   They rocked!   Pastor Carlton and some of the younger folks were seated to the right of the stage about where I took this picture.   Everyone else was seated waaaay back, as shown in my earlier pics.
No, I didn't do this on purpose.   Turned out kind of cool, though.
"Let's start a revolution..."
Songs performed (not in exact order I'm sure) were "Alright," "Love's Done Something," "Weighted," "Wastin' Time," "Whole World in His Hands," "You Alone," "Close Your Eyes," "Revolution," and "Take On Me."   Hope you enjoyed the pics!
